Drawing from a rich background in the financial industry, Niklas has recently acted as a multi-delegate for fintech and retail sectors. He holds expert committee positions in both the Nordic countries and the Eurosystem.
Niklas’s extensive experience in collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders enables him to accommodate multi-stakeholder perspectives, fostering lasting trust and cooperation between organizations pursuing mutual objectives. His track record of promoting responsible engagement and industry innovation for the greater community’s benefit has been demonstrated time and again. In the European Digital Finance Association, Niklas represents Fintech Norway on the association’s board. He has successfully developed an efficient governance structure through the EDFA’s executive committee, bringing together the diverse voices of national fintech associations across Europe to engage with key stakeholders in the EU system. As a member of the Nordic Initiative advisory board, Niklas offers unbiased knowledge and insights into the evolving Nordic retail community, particularly at the intersection of the financial industry and the future data economy. This strategic asset benefits the initiative, with Niklas’s responsibilities focusing on facilitating regulatory relations and governance of the initiative’s portfolio.
In the Eurocommerce Payment Committee, Niklas represents the Norwegian Trade Association Virke and its retail members, providing valuable insights that bridge Nordic and European perspectives in the political retail landscape. As a board member of Fintech Norway, Niklas represents fintech members, assisting management in international liaison matters, domestic regulatory industry governance, and industry supervisory relations. In Aera, a retail fintech joint venture, Niklas holds the position of VP Stakeholder Relations, working to promote competition and industry collaboration. His role remains separate from commercial and product delivery operations.
